Our Medical Director and staff have researched the technology and selected Candela Medical’s PicoWay Laser, the best laser for tattoo removal. The PicoWay Laser can treat a wide range of tattoos including blue and green ink and can provide complete removal and clearance of the skin for most tattoos and most skin types.
The PicoWay also has the shortest pulse duration of any tattoo removal laser on the market for a quick and comfortable treatment when paired with our options for numbing medication. It also treats a wide range of tattoos, even the previously difficult-to-treat blue and green colors.

Pre-Care
Please keep the treated area out of the sun for two weeks prior to your session. If you are on photosensitive medications, please let your provider know, as we may be unable to treat you. For your comfort and effectiveness of the treatment, we ask that you shave the area before your appointment.
Post-Care
Keep the treated area out of the sun for 2 weeks after your session. When your session is complete, your technician will apply EltaMD Laser Enzyme Gel to the area and cover it with a bandage. You may apply Laser Enzyme Gel to the area 3-4x daily and cover it with a bandage for five days. Please avoid heat, saunas, or hot tubs for 48-72 hours after your session if the skin returns to its normal color and texture.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
- The tattoo is on the face, neck, hands, forearms, or lower leg (below the knee).
- You were previously or are currently incarcerated, a survivor of human trafficking, has a hate symbol or racist tattoo, or are a former gang member.
- You must have an advocate. All applicants must have a letter of recommendation from an official advocate. Acceptable advocates include Social Workers, PO Officers, and Reentry Officers.

Yes! Typically tattoo removal takes a minimum of 6 sessions and each treatment is 10-12 weeks apart.

Your technician will use your personal skin type to decide what settings to use to achieve the best results while being safe for you. Make sure you are not on any photosensitive medications, the area has been out of the sun and avoiding heat after treatment will avoid the risks.
Scarring and blistering are possible side effects for Laser Tattoo Removal. To avoid these risks please keep the area out of the sun and heat before and after your session and let your technician know if you are on any medications.
You can see your results from tattoo removal the same day but will notice fading over the next 10-12 weeks as your body breaks down the remaining ink.
Laser Tattoo Removal treatments can be as short as 5 minutes up to 90 minutes depending on the size of the tattoo.
The treated area will be tender for the next 3-5 days and may dry out. To help speed the healing process you should apply EltaMD Laser Enzyme Gel 3-4x daily and cover with a bandage for 5 days.
